Frasier, an eight-year old sandhill crane, comes to Cosley Zoo after having been treated by a rehabilitator for a wing injury. The injury was not able to heal enough to permit Frasier to fly well, and therefore he is unable to be released into the wild. Frasier was introduced to Ichabod, another sandhill crane who is a longtime Cosley Zoo resident, and zookeepers have been enjoying getting to know him. So far, Frasier’s favorite activities consist of vocalizing, “aerating” the lawn by probing at the ground with his beak, and eating corn on the cob.
