Special Screening of “Beyond our Senses: Bank Swallows”
Thursday, March 5 | 6:30-7:30P | Kiebler Barn, 2nd Floor*
“Beyond Our Senses” explores the lives and hidden sensory world of bank swallows. Each spring, the bluffs of Lake Michigan are transformed by thousands of bank swallows returning from South America to carve colonies into the eroding cliffside, pair off, and raise the next generation. Plus, did you know that bank swallows can be found in Wheaton?
After the film, join David Busse as he shares the behind-the-scenes process of making “Beyond Our Senses” followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and Zoo Director, Greg Bockheim.
This is a free event, but donations are appreciated and will support ongoing wildlife conservation.
*Please note, space is limited for this showing. It will be held in the Kiebler Barn a second floor space, only accessible by stairs.
