The Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals, named BEST 5k/10k in the Midwest by Competitor Magazine in 2011 is a CARA registered and electronically timed race. Race hosted by the Cosley Foundation to raise funds for the development and renovation of exhibits at Cosley Zoo.

Fees*:

Run for the Animals 5K/10K: $30 through 6/2, $38 at packet pickup (6/4-6/5), and $40 on Race Day; CARA members $3 discount

Zippity Zoo Run: $10 through 6/2, $15 at packet pickup (6/4-6/5), and $20 on Race Day.

* All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Safety:
The runners’ safety is of the utmost importance. Therefore, bicycles, in-line skates, other-wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs) and dogs are not allowed. Strollers are also prohibited.


Packet Pick Up:
Packet Pickup will be held on Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5 from 8am to 8pm at the Wheaton Park District Community Center at 1777 S. Blanchard Road in Wheaton. Registration is available during packet pick up for $35 for 5k/10k and $15 for Zippity Zoo Run. Race day packet pick up will be available from 6am to 6:45am in Memorial Park. Registration on race day will be $40 for 5k/10k and $20 for Zippity Zoo. First 2500 runners receive a long-sleeve tech t-shirt.


Volunteers:
Volunteers are essential to the success of the race. All volunteers receive a t-shirt and a breakfast. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Randy Tucker at rtucker@wheatonparks.org.


Course Details: The Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals is a USATF certified course. The course winds through the streets of downtown Wheaton. The 10K will include Northside Park as part of the route.
